An annual used book sale is sponsored and run by members of the Leelanau Township Friends of the Library. We accept used books at the library in May and June, before the sale. To volunteer for the book sale call 386-7531. This year’s book sale will be held on: Saturday, July 5, from 9:00 - 4:00.
The Friends have funded this Library Web site, and a wireless internet connection, as well as purchased the library sofa and leather chairs, computers and various components, encyclopedias, audio books on CD, provided funds for a “biography” project compiled by Phyllis Kilcherman as well as seed money to begin the classic book collection on CDs. These are just some of the more recent examples of direct financial assistance given the library.
