Future Proofing Your Home
The impacts of climate change are becoming more visible everyday. But what can Leelanau residents do to protect our homes and communities from extreme weather while lessening our carbon impact? Join us for a presentation and discussion of the many solutions available to help mitigate the threat of climate change. We’ll discuss a range of home solutions, from simple tips to lessen your home’s energy burden, to new efficiency-boosting technologies and alternative energy sources. (Spoiler alert: you can save money too!) This discussion builds on Chris Edward’s presentation at the Leelanau Township library this past May in which Chris laid out the science of climate change and extreme weather. Kevin and Mark will propose practical next steps that individuals can take, resources that can help, and hopefully spark thoughtful conversation on this critical issue. We hope you’ll join Kevin and Mark at the Leelanau Township Library at 7PM on October 12th!
